What are some techniques that create better affiliate conversion?

So I know this is a loaded question that is bound to bring in various opinions, but I am fairly new to affiliate marketing and I am currently polling my own affiliates to get their feedback on what is working for them as an affiliate and what isn't. My goal is to make my network more engaged and sell more (every affiliate network's goals) and in researching different methods and features I am struggling a bit. Currently using ShareAsale and that has been a hassle-free experience but I am starting to thing my creatives aren't very engaging. In your opinion, what makes a banner or text link make the end user want to buy? What were some of the most engaging creatives you've seen in the past and what did they encompass to pique interest? Also, what % commission amounts make it worthwhile to the affiliate? If you could provide your input I would be grateful, thank you.

Website Critiquing

Can anybody recommend a quality website critiquer?

By this, I don't mean just an assessment of a site's appearance and SEO situation but further, an informed view of a site's viability and even survivability.

Most of we affiliate marketers (me included) work alone and lack qualified feedback about our latest attempt to make some money.

Friends and family are rarely the best people to ask for an opinion, and sometimes the lack of traffic and conversions can be readily evident to an expert.

I realize there are expensive membership programs run by famous gurus who include this type of assessment, but does someone know of a reputable service at a reasonable price which can be used on an as-required basis?

But not this time – if you want to see a session and you miss it, you’re out of luck.

We strictly forbid recording audio or video of sessions when we are recording them. But we’ll permit it for Affiliate Summit Central 2012.

Colleges and Bank Leads - Good Starting place?

I'm a member of Google affiliates but have only been using adsense so far. I have an account with Linkshare.

Can anyone recommend a good starting place, companies, or places to learn more about how to become an affiliate for college leads (applications, student loans, etc.) or bank leads (new accounts, ira's, whole-life insurance, etc.)?

Do You Have Sites In Languages Other Than English?

We have a huge announcement coming, take a sneak peak at our foreign language sites and let us know what you think and what creatives you would like to see. Please note that all sites cross-track and they track in mobile browsers as well. So if someone starts on the Viator English site and ends up on the Spanish language site the referring affiliate still gets credit for the sale.

In addition to the main Viator website that is in English but has multiple currencies, we have the following websites in native languages with the associated currency. Please note that there are two Spanish sites, one with USD and one with Euros. These sites should help you reach those shoppers that are looking for tours in their own language and not searching English language sites.

Best of all, all of the sites cross track and track in mobile browsers. So if a shopper starts on the English language site and ends up on the Spanish language site, your cookie goes with them.

I'd like to publish helpful how to tutorials for customers and affiliates. I'm a newb when it comes to screen-casting, just tried cam studio and it felt slow/buggy.

Have you tried other solutions? Which ones did you like best?

Any help is greatly appreciated
